HUMAN BECOMING

Further Human Becoming with Dignity.

Creating space for consequential questions, shared dialogue, and meaningful participation.

Leading Change Differently

Becoming Gate recognizes that organizational growth and human becoming are not competing interests.

Every day, people come to work participating in organizational change while simultaneously living within change in their own lives.

These are not separate worlds.

The same people who contribute to organizational performance, innovation, and growth are also living within the changes of family, relationships, aging, uncertainty, hope, and possibility.

Becoming Gate brings collective intelligence and compassion into the same conversation, creating conditions in which organizational growth and human becoming can be furthered through meaningful human participation.

Change is not simply something that happens to people or something organizations manage. It is something people live within and participate in shaping.

Through speaking, facilitation, and participation design, Becoming Gate helps organizations recognize and cultivate the human capacity to participate in consequential change.

The Collective Intelligence Lock Point offers a protected passage for that participation—one consequential question, ninety minutes, and an opportunity to experience how human dignity, compassion, and agency can remain consequential within organizational life.

Participation Design carries this possibility further, helping people within organizations explore how these conditions might become part of their everyday functioning.

The future is not simply something organizations prepare for. It is something people participate in creating.

The Person — James L. Egbert

The person whose life, experience, inquiry, and continuing becoming give rise to Becoming Gate.

James L. Egbert is the founder of Becoming Gate, author of the Hope²Change: A Cosmology of Hope and Human Becoming series, and developer of Living Human Change.

After five decades working inside large public and private organizations, his focus is now deeply personal: to further human becoming with dignity in a changing world—cultivating hope, engaging change, and working toward a future where human agency remains consequential as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly capable.

His personal mission is to leave this world having contributed, in some meaningful way, because his life was here.
